This page explains what Resto Mod Studio collects, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name and email, through the sign-in service the site uses.
  • Your builds: vehicle details, VIN, color and material choices, and notes you add.
  • Photos you upload, including any license plate blur you apply.
  • Shop listing details you submit: business name, services, location, phone, email, and website.
  • Your parts list, which is kept on your own device.
  • Basic technical data such as browser type and pages visited.

How we use it

To run the tool, save your builds, show approved builds and shop listings in the shared areas, review records for accuracy, prevent misuse, and improve the site. We do not sell your personal information.

What other visitors can see

Builds are private unless you choose to share them. Shared builds that pass review, shop listings, and forum posts can be seen by other visitors. Visitors see only the last 4 characters of a VIN. Blur license plates on any photo you share. Photo files are public web addresses, so anyone with a link can open them. Some builds in the gallery are marked Sample: they are examples, not customer builds.

AI features

When you use the color assistant or a photo recolor preview, the text and photo you send are processed by an AI service to produce the result. Do not send anything you want kept private.

Who else handles data

  • Service providers for hosting, sign-in, and AI features.
  • Vendors and affiliate networks, once you click a product link. They may set their own cookies and follow their own privacy policies.

Payments

If a paid feature is offered, payment is handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation that a payment went through, but not your card number.

Cookies and local storage

The site uses local storage on your device to keep your parts list and to remember an in-progress build. Vendors and affiliate networks may use cookies when you visit them through a link.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your builds one at a time from your account, or use Delete my data on your account page to remove your builds, shop listings, forum posts, and recolor history. To correct data, or to ask about anything else, use the Contact page.

Children

The site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
